Solar in Arizona?

The valley is always joked about having 364 days of sunlight and there is some truth to that joke!

We get a whole boat load of sun each and every day!

So what if there was a way to take advantage of that sun, other than of course getting tanned into shoe leather :p.

Well believe it or not….

There is a way to take advantage of the sun! And that’s with solar panels on your home! If you are like me I love the sun but I also love my home being cold, I keep it at 68*F at night, and to do that you use a lot of electricity! Now I didn’t like paying a $550 dollar utility bill during the summer so I turned to a technology that nasa has been using since the 80’s.

Solar Panels, the process is pretty simple, I sat down with an Energy Consultant, we talked about my lifestyle, my goals for energy independence. Then they got some information on how much energy my home is currently using and gave recommendations for improving energy efficiency, and lastly they designed a solar system for my home that was designed with my needs in mind. And the best part is it will offset all of my energy usage and only cost me $145 a month after the 30% Federal Solar tax credit. And the state of Arizona also does $1,000 tax credit!
